And while you can’t currently use its top-tier facilities, you can take fitness classes led by a few of the hotel’s masterful personal trainers, who have put together a virtual workout series called "Stuck at Home" to keep you fit in the meantime. When it opened in 2018, the InterContinental DTLA wowed locals and travelers alike with its sheer height (it occupies the tallest building west of Chicago in the continental United States) and luxe amenities-including a state-of-the-art gym with impressive wraparound views of the city. Additionally, the hotel has released its HeadStrong meditation program, a series of calming guided meditations led by honey-voiced instructor Amber Voiles, based in Los Angeles, including anxiety-reducing meditations created specifically for this moment. These rituals, led by New York-based instructors, are usually reserved for guests to stream in-suite, and are now free for all to watch on Equinox’s website and via its YouTube channel. The hotel has shared videos instructing viewers in its core AM and PM rituals, a fifteen-minute combination of stretches and breathwork designed to open up the body, promote oxygen flow, and restore order and balance. This ultra-luxe Hudson Yards hotel, the first hospitality venture from the eponymous cult fitness franchise, was built to be a temple of wellness with its 60,000-square-foot fitness center and in-room IV nutrient drips-and it’s continuing to spread the gospel on mind-body equanimity during lockdown.
